Logistics Services for Charity Event
September 17
The Route4 Logistics team were busy over the summer helping to deliver much needed equipment to enable a major UK cancer charity to hold its annual fun runs.
The charity holds over 200 events across the UK and Route4 Solutions has worked alongside our client who has held the contract to coordinate the logistics for a number of years. We provide drivers and transport solutions to pick up and deliver marketing banners and race day merchandise as well as supplies such as bottles of water, food, medals and goody bags for participants.
As an important fund raiser for the Charity, every penny donated has to count. Therefore, keeping event administration and organisation costs to the minimum was a primary concern. In planning for the events, we worked in association with our client and were conscious at all times that any money spent getting vital equipment to the race day organisers had to represent value for money. We were therefore meticulous in our load planning to minimise costs.
Commenting, Mike Harris, from Route4 Solutions said, “Our client has held this contract for a number of years and were delighted to have been trusted to help them meet their objectives. We are proud that both parties were able to work together to ensure all deadlines were met and supplies delivered on time to make sure the events could go ahead.”
