Route4 Solutions moves to new Cotgrave HQ

Route4 Solutions, a temporary driver recruitment agency and courier business, is one of 15 new businesses to move into the newly built Colliers Business Park in Cotgrave, Nottingham.

The move, will help the firm to centralise its business operations and provide dedicated meeting rooms and office space. The unit also comprises 100sq metres of warehouse space, which will become the central hub for the newly created Route4 Couriers division.

Previously based at the Nottingham Sustainability and Enterprise Centre in Basford, it was recognised that the business has expanded quicker than anticipated. The decision to take a 6-year lease on a unit in the recently opened Colliers Business Park was chosen due to its strategic location central to the East Midlands.

Route4 Solutions now has the additional office space from which to conduct both its driver recruitment business and the courier solutions service and will provide the space to enable the business to expand even further.

Colliers Business Parkis part of a £100m project to completely regenerate the local area of Cotgrave, which includes a £1.2m improvement scheme committed to developing the town centre, as well as the construction of 470 new residential properties. Funding for the scheme was acquired by Rushcliffe Borough Council in 2015 through the Growth Deal Funding initiative provided by D2N2 LEP.

Commenting, Councillor Simon Robinson, leader of the Council said “The units provide much needed space for new and expanding businesses like Route4 Solutions. Encouraging new enterprises helps the council to create employment opportunities for local people, which also helps to boost the local economy.”

With over 20 years’ experience of working in the logistics industry, Route4 Solutions, Managing Director, Mike Harris added “Our significant growth meant we needed to look for alternative workspace. Fortunately, the units at Colliers Business Park were perfect and suited the needs of our business. Its strategic location close to both the A46 and A52 will help us to continue our growth across the East Midlands.”

Route4 Solutions was launched in 2014 with the aim of promising a refreshingly new approach to driver recruitment, based on looking after and retaining a pool of loyal drivers. Route4 Solutions provides assurance that all drivers are fully trained and certified which helps to ensure transport and operations managers can run efficient and cost-effective logistics operations.

In 2017, it launched a pallet based courier solutions service operating a fleet of long wheel base vans. Since then, the company has enjoyed significant growth and recently achieved its three-year ambition of reaching £1m turnover. The company now regularly provides temporary drivers and outsourced pallet delivery services to haulage and logistics firms across the East Midlands. Current clients include Prolog, Bridgeshire & Macfarlane Packaging Limited as well as a number of leading household and electrical retailing companies and logistics operators.

Eventually, the move will create a number of new employment opportunities who will join the existing team of 5 full-time staff who currently liaise with customers to place the right drivers in the right job.
