We are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Lawlor as our new lead driver/recruitment consultant.

As specialists in providing temporary and relief drivers to logistics companies, Chris’s appointment follows a period of significant growth on the back of winning contracts with leading logistics and haulage companies.

In his new role, Chris will be responsible for recruiting new drivers and assigning them to a specific job. He will ensure route4solutions fulfil its mantra of supplying the right driver for the right assignment. He will also be help develop new business as the firm seeks to continue its expansion.

Lawlor, who has over 10 years in the logistics industry, embarked on his working career after leaving college and started at Capital One selling payment protection insurance to credit card customers. A change of scenery led to Chris moving into the construction industry and into several driving based roles where he has himself been a contract driver, and now recruiter.

Commenting on his appointment Chris said, “I originally joined Route4 Solutions on the back of a job advert and became a relief driver for two years.  I got on well with the directors right from the outset, so I am overjoyed to be given the opportunity to move into the recruitment side of the business.”

Mike Harris, Managing Director of Route4 Solutions added “Chris has been a great ambassador for R4 since we started the business, and having seen him develop over the last couple of years, we feel he has the right skills to step up and take control of the recruitment and assignment of drivers.”

Outside of the office, Chris is keen car man and admits to having a chequered past in terms of the cars he’s owned. By his own admittance, his car choice is now a little more reserved due to his forthcoming wedding and some house renovations that have been required following the birth of his son.
